FOR COMMUNITY AWARENESS (2/26/25):
MnDOT is in the process of removing diseased and dead trees and brush along Hwy 16 around Whalan. Once the operation is done in the next few days, they will look for a time to dispose of the wood and brush piles by burning because of the difficulty to remove it. Wood pile burning begins March 3 on Highway 16 at Whalan in Fillmore County As part of their DNR burn permit, they’ll also be contacting emergency services so they are aware. |
